Fish Fillets Amandine

This elegant dish features tender fish fillets topped with golden slivered almonds for a nutty crunch. Enhanced with garlic, lemon juice, and butter, it’s a simple yet sophisticated meal perfect for any occasion. Garnish with lemon wedges for a bright, fresh finish!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs fillet or pieces of cod, snapper or halibut
- ¼ cup slivered almonds
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Lemon wedges for garnish, optional
Steps
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Toast almonds in the oven for 5 minutes or until brown. Set aside.
3. Meanwhile, season fish fillets on both sides with garlic, salt and pepper.
4. Heat butter and oil over medium heat. When the butter starts to bubble add the fish and cook for 5 minutes. Flip over and continue cooking until the fish flakes when pressure is applied with your thumb or fork.
5. Transfer to serving platter and drizzle lemon juice and almonds over top.
6. Serve with lemon wedges, if using.
