This creamy and luscious homemade coconut milk is crafted from unsweetened shredded coconut and water, with a hint of vanilla extract for a touch of natural sweetness. Perfect for smoothies, cooking, or as a refreshing drink, it’s a simple and delicious dairy alternative!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps
1. Soak coconut in water for 1 - 2 hours (do not discard water).
2. In a good blender, combine coconut, water, vanilla and blend on highest speed.
3. Strain liquid through a nut milk bag (you can also use a cheesecloth or fine strainer), discarding solids.
