Ingredients

  • 500g buckwheat (hulled)
  • 200 ml water
  • Salt to taste
  • Topping (optional): Your favourite seeds or nuts – we like pumpkin seeds, sesame, poppy and hemp seeds!

Steps

  1. Wash and soak kernels in water overnight, 8 hours. Pour out the water in the morning.
  2. Add 200 ml fresh water and purée the kernels to a smooth dough.
  3. Cover with a towel and let rest to ferment in a warm spot in the kitchen for 20 - 24 hours until it has puffed up and grown in size.
  4. In the morning, add seeds if you like, and place the dough into the baking form.
  5. Bake for 60-70 min at 355F, until outside is browned. Enjoy!
